VP of Operations Report:

A coaches meeting for all intramural coaches was held the last week of August.

****** TRASH POLICY *******

There is a CARRY-IN, CARRY-OUT Trash Policy at all DYS Fields. It is the responsibility of coaches and parents to keep our fields clean.

A shed was recently installed a Gates Field to hold U10 Goals, travel corner flags, paint, penies. The last one out of Gates needs to be sure that the shed, as well as the field, are locked.

Fields were to be painted before the start of the season.

Equipment was passed out to intramural and travel coaches.

A discussion was also held on the condition of then playing fields at Gates and Smith and how DYS can work with the Town to improve the playing fields.

VP of Administration Report:

Letters sent to all U6 Fundamental parents introducing U6 and the Boston Bulldogs

Intramural teams will be getting new players as new registrations come in

The Coaches License (E.F.G) courses this August were cancelled due to the inability to get the field house at the high school. We are now looking into February to run these courses.

Player Development

The summer program started strong this summer then died as the summer progressed - still it is something to keep in mind.

The Touchline

The Fall edition of the Touchline should be out to all DYS families during week 2 of the season.

ITC

Originally only 7 players that signed up were not placed on a Fall Tournament team - due to the number of players that signed up. The coaches' selection process will be evaluated prior to the Spring teams being selected.

New Business:

First Aid Kits : Tom Mistretta spoke about First Aid Kits for Coaches. Tom had volunteered at the Intramural Coaches Meeting to investigate what was available and found a sample kit. He will take on the administration of this project. In addition, Neal Hovey volunteered to work with Tom adding input on a program for medical training. The board passed a motion to allow Tom to spend for a max of 80 kits and $800.

DYS Night at Danvers High game versus Salem 10/10. DYS will pay $500 to buy the gate and DYS players will be admitted free. There will be more information on this event.

Also, 10/11 is DYS night at Salem State

YMCA Donation : As many know, the Y is initiating a project to raise $1 million for their new addition. 2/3 needs to be raised before the project can start. DYS has used the YMCA field for years and has had a good relationship. A motion to donate $3,000 over three years was passed.

The DYS HOTLINE

DYS will soon have a hotline where you can find out if games are cancelled or information on a "hot" DYS event, where you can leave a message for the registrar or any other Director. This hotline should be working by the third week. The number is :
