Travel Director's Report

--------------------------------

DYS is fielding 19 travel teams this Fall. Laminated rosters will be available the Friday the 13th and may be picked up at Janet Gargan's house, 10 Mildred Road. Coaches should already have maps and schedules. All registrants have been placed on teams except several U14 boys on a waiting list.

VP Operations

-------------------

Gates field has been sodded, teams are to stay off the field until opening day. When Gates becomes available for practice, teams SHOULD AVOID USING THE AREA OF THE GOAL MOUTH. Let's keep the goal mouths looking reasonable for the games.

The garage at Plains Park will be operational for the season. No more equipment will be stored at the Hartnett's, it will all be in the Garage at Plains. VP Ops is arranging access to the garage for coaches.

Suggestion was made by VP Ops to finance improvement of the field at the YMCA. General agreement that this was a good idea.

Suggestion was also made to keep John George field painted for the duration of the season for practice.

Another suggestion was to purchase plastic, temporary "goal poles" which could be put in place for practice and removed afterwards. This would allow teams to set up a temporary goal in some place other than the real goals and rest the goal mouths.
