The September Minutes were unanimously approved.

The following Board of Director changes were approved:

Mike Gilbert has been moved to the Director level

Larry Davis and Jim Russo have been moved to the Corporate level

Sheila Crotts, Dick Hopkins and John Webb have been moved to the Associate Corporate level

An updated Board of Directors list will be enclosed with the minutes

September and August Treasurer’s reports reviewed and approved.

Team photos were held 9/30 and 10/1 with no major problems.

Fall registration has been completed. Currently there are 1063 children registered in DYS through U14.

The fall season is underway. The Essex County website is www.ecysa.org.

George Field will be used for late (4:30) games towards the end of the season, after the clocks are turned back one hour. Field lining of George Field will be done by mid-October. Travel coaches effected with the field and time switch will be notified.

The travel director is currently soliciting thoughts on how to do/improve Spring tryouts. If you have any ideas send them to Jeff Chambers.

Field Development/GATES

Benches and water bubbler are in.

The team bench area is having a problem with the stonedust on the field. Currently looking for alternatives.

Gates #2 has a grub problem. The field will be overseeded after the last game this fall.

Field Development/Smith

The field will also be overseeded this fall.

Field availability will be an issue in the spring and in the Future. There was a lot of discussion on this topic and this will be a priority issue for 2001.

PATCHES – One design per year, over three years was approved by the board. Larry Pickering will be following up on this.

**And another reminder…..No Dog signs will be placed at Gates, Smith, Riverside and Plains fields. Due to safety concerns, no dogs will be allowed on the field during DYS soccer games.

The Intramural season has started with minimal issues. The Bulldogs and Renegades are once again involved with the U6 program on Saturday mornings.

All intramural coaches are asked to please not run-up scores - neither team benefits from a blowout !!

The fall edition on "The Touchline" was recently sent to all DYS households and has been posted on the website. Thanks to Tom Guidi for producing an information newsletter.

All coaches are reminded to notify Jerry Morin (jmorin@ecysa.org) or DYS (DYS@theglobe.com) if there is no referee at your Sunday game.

Pass the Word: Any U12 Sr. or U14 Jr. player interested in refereeing intramural games next Spring or Fall can send a note to Jerry Morin (jmorin@ecysa.org). There will be a course during the winter for those interested.

Our November Annual Meeting will be a short meeting with the majority of the time spent on the election of new officers. A flyer will be distributed to parents requesting their questions and input. The meeting is scheduled for Thursday November 16^th, pending location. Details will follow. COACHES and parents are encouraged to attend!

DYS night @ Danvers High School: There will be a flyer distributed with details for this event. On Tuesday October 17^th, the varsity girls will play Salem High at 6:30 PM. All DYS players and parents will be admitted free. The board approved buying the gate for all DYS players and parents to attend the game.

Forms are out for Spring Tournament sign-ups. Final registration will be February 6^th, 6:30-8:30 PM Room 101 at the high school. This will be for DYS registration and ITC registration signups.
