Monthly and yearly activity reported.  DIT activity presented.  Rate increase for referees for Spring ’05 will bring rates to $17/game for U7/U8 refs and $20/game for U10 refs. Treasurer’s report accepted.

Registrar’s Report

911 players registered for the Spring season, including 25 new intramural players and 106 new travel players.  Topsfield has dropped all its U10 boys teams for the Spring, and 1 U10 girls team.  DYS board voted to no longer continue combined U10 intramural program with Topsfield after Spring 05.

VP Admin Report

An intramural committee meeting was held.  Decision was made to hold an intramural tournament on the last week of the season.  Also, the season will be extended by a week to make up at least one of the two rained out games.  North Andover soccer has approached DYS about the possibility of holding U10 jamborees this Fall.  VP Admin will pursue.  U6 program went off last Saturday.  Parents seem to be more involved than previous years, a strong effort is being made to get them active rather than spectating.  Clinic will be held during Sunday tryouts at Plains Park, 1 to 3.

VP Ops Report

U7 game times have been adjusted at John George to accommodate lacrosse games. May happen again the weekends of May 5 and May 22.   There was considerable trash left at Gates last weekend.  Please help enforce the carry-in,carry-out policy.  Lost a set of corner flags last weekend at Gates that were left out.  The last team playing needs to put them away!

Travel Director’s Report

Reschedules have been made for all earlier rained out games that need to be made up. Travel section of the website needs to be updated.   ECYSA tryouts for district select teams will be this Saturday and the following Saturday.   Tryouts for Fall ’05  select teams begin this Friday.  ECYSA may hold meeting on sportsmanship.  ECYSA will make $500 donation to DYS in appreciation for the use of Danvers fields for playoff  games on June 9 and 10.  ECYSA requests that DYS set up tents and tables for the games.
