Registration night held February 6^th - 55 new players registered, most in the U6/U7 age groups.

FYI: There is a box outside Mike Gilbert's house with registration material. Mike's address is 7 Orrantia Circle.

All Intramural coaches should have called their fall players to ensure they are playing in the spring. Results should be reported to the age coordinators.

Essex County Registration for the spring season was January 9^th. DYS has 31 spring travel teams, one team in U18 is comprised of players from Danvers and Georgetown.

Urgent Reminder: All travel players recently registered or playing only in the spring need pictures. These should be given to the coaches ASAP. In the future, pictures will be required at the time of registration.

VP of Operations Report:

Field Permits are in with the town for the Spring Intramural and Travel programs as well as the Danvers Invitational Tournament.

Will be proactively working with Danvers Youth Lacrosse n field scheduling.

G License - DYS will hold a G License course on Tuesday, March 20^th

Chris DiNardo, guest and current U16 DYS player, attended the meeting to discuss his recent selection to a select team representing the United Soccer Academy International. Chris was one of approx. 600 kids from 27 states who tried out. This team will travel Europe in June for three weeks playing around 20 games. Larry and Chris DiNardo stopped by the meeting to say a couple words about the upcoming experience. Chris has volunteered to share his experience with younger DYS players next fall.

Kick-off meeting was held in January. The next meeting is scheduled for Tuesday February 13^th, 7:30 p.m. at the Super Stop&Shop. We need as many DYS parents as possible to help out. If interested in helping out contact Janet Gargan or send an email to dys@theglobe.com

There is going to be a hotel crunch this year as the Sheraton Ferncroft, our host hotel for eight years, is not available.

Every year the recruiting of parent volunteers for field marshals, concession sales and parking supervision is more difficult and more of a last minute panic. Starting in 2001, Danvers teams will be required to submit a parent volunteer list with a minimum 30 hours volunteer time per team with their application to the tournament. We need this up-front commitment to allow us to plan and relieve the panic!
