December Monthly Board Meeting
December 5, 2001 – Meeting began at 7:15
Attending the meeting were:
Kevin Burge, Tom Conway, Janet Gargan, Bob Trudeau, Larry Davis, Jeff Chambers, Mike Gilbert, Al DeBenedictis, Bob Gabel, Chip Moore, David Tye, Ernie Dion, Steve Gargan, Brett Amico, John Barrows, Ed Wisniewski, Bruce Ocko, Frank Pellino, Neal Hovey, Dave Clarkson, Jerry Morin, Tom Laughlin, Lauren Pinkus (Breakers).
Meeting(s) attended by 23 people.
Secretary Report
David Tye introduced as new Secretary. The November minutes were approved.
Treasurer’s Report:
A drawing of a proposed DYS 2002 patch was distributed. Budgets need to be submitted by mid-December. The November Treasurer report was approved.
Registrar’s report:
Spring U16/U18 teams are in the process of formation.
Travel report:
Travel committee meeting Dec. 17, 7:30 PM at Dave Clarkson’s house.
Still have not received all coach’s cards. Please get them to Ed Wisniewski!
Essex Co. registration for Spring 2002 season is Jan. 7
VP of Operations Report:
The owner of the Elm St. garage (primary storage location for DYS) is terminating the relationship with DYS and the league must find a new location for storage sometime in the next few months. One possible new site was discussed. Informal consensus was that a critical consideration for any new site will be extensive access hours. Anyone interested in renting space to DYS should contact Larry Davis (774-4709). Desired size is at least 10 ft. x 20 ft.
VP of Administration Report:
Jeff Chambers will be holding an ad hoc meeting to discuss intramural coaching conduct. Anyone interested in attending should contact him.
Tournament Committee
Pre-planning meeting was held. First formal meeting for DIT 2002 will be Tues., Jan. 15, 2002 at 7:30 PM at the Danvers Stop’n’Shop. All are invited to attend!
New Business:
A discussion of DYS bumper stickers was held. Larry Davis was authorized to purchase stickers for distribution and sales.
Dave Clarkson resigned as Director. John Barrows was voted in as Director.
