BOD minutes have been posted on website.
Jeff Chambers made a motion to accept March, 2007 meeting minutes;
motion was seconded by Tom McNulty, motion accepted.
President’s report- David Tye
Dave would
like to see more involvement of high school coaches to encourage players to
play soccer beyond middle school. Dave
brought up concern as to whether DYS is insured by MYSA on all the town fields
that coaches are holding practice at (ie;Tipert St.). Dave will talk to Town of
Registrar’s Report- Dianne MacInnis
We are down
10 players from this time last year. We
have 892 players registered to date.
Treasurer’s Report – Sharon Pollock
We had deposits of $700 in Spring Registration fees for the month. Interest income of $713 is up due to
increased rates on CD’s and increased balances.
The $7,000 equipment expense will be going down as a large credit is
anticipated.
Motion to accept March, 2007 treasurer’s report by Jeff Chambers;
seconded by Neal Hovey. Motion passed.
VP Administration Report – Jeff MacInnis
We have extended our partnership with Mass
Premier Soccer (MPS) for the spring season.
MPS will stay an extra hour on Saturday mornings to provide clinics/practices
for U7 coaches and players. It will be
open for U8 players and coaches as well.
The clinics will begin on April 21st.
On Fridays, from 5-7PM, Mass Premier Soccer
will be holding specialty clinics for the U10’s, U12’s and U14’s at Gates. We will be posting intramural game formats on
website to help alleviate confusion for referees and coaches. Jeff would like to add a coaches section to the
website to provide pertinent links and also to give recognition to coaches who
have completing training. Jeff will
explore holding training courses in
VP Operations Report – Brian Harrison
Brian will know tomorrow whether or not home games
will be played this weekend after today’s snow.
All equipment has been ordered. Neal
Hovey reported that there are going to be some practice scheduling conflicts at
Essex Aggie. Essex Aggie is going to be
using the field for Ultimate Frisbee.
Travel Director’s Report– Dave Kamens
Registrations are still coming in.
Essex
Bob Trudeau will be one of two American
referees chosen to work the World Special Olympics in
COMMITTEE REPORTS:
We have 198 teams registered, which is the
highest since 2001. There will be 172
small sided games and 168 full sided games for a total of 340 games and an
additional 38 games on Monday. There is
a waiting list as well.
DSSSF-Jeff Chambers
Jeff will need some extra help with the
tournament in October.

Dave Tye congratulated Bob on producing the
first issue. He also thanked everyone
who collaborated on this effort. The
response indicates that parents are finding this a very valuable resource.
Intramural Tournament Committee– Jeff Chambers
There are 10 teams with more than 120 players
registered.

MacInnis - Advertising
Dianne
would like to advertise registration in the Danvers Family Festival
booklet. Jeff Chambers made a motion to
advertise registration dates in Danvers Family Festival booklet for a fee of
$200. Motion was seconded by Tom
McNulty. Motion passed.
Loren
Rocker – New Travel Uniforms
He would
like to look into changing travel uniforms.
Patches
– Bob Gabel
Bob has
drafted instructions for coaches to obtain patches for the tournament which
will be posted on the website.
