Minutes of the Danvers Youth Soccer April Board Meeting

Attending:  Neal Hovey, Brett Amico, Tom Conway, David Tye, Bob Gabel, Jeff MacInnis, David Kamens, Jeff Chambers, Janet Gargan, Tom McNulty, Loren Rocker, Mike Gilbert,

Andrea Costa.

 

13 people attended the meeting.

 

The meeting was called to order at 8:14 pm

 

Secretary's Report

 

March minutes were accepted.  Available DYS Revolution tickets are posted on the website and can be obtained by emailing dysoccer@hotmail.com

 

Treasurer’s Report

 

Monthly and yearly activity reported.  Treasurers report accepted.

 

Registrar’s Report

 

911 players registered for the Spring season, including 25 new intramural players and 106 new travel players.  Topsfield has dropped all its U10 boys teams for the Spring, and 1 U10 girls team.  DYS board voted to no longer continue combined U10 intramural program with Topsfield after Spring 05.

 

VP Admin Report

 

Rosters have been distributed to IM coaches.  Schedules still being worked out because of Topsfield drop outs.  Topsfield dropped boys U10 program and 1 U10 girls team.  Board vote to discontinue cooperative IM program after Spring 05 season.

 

VP Ops Report

 

President reported in absentia.  Everything set for opening of season.

 

Travel Director’s Report

 

Laminated rosters and coaches cards have been picked up. Game balls are available from Brett Amico.

33 players have been added since March 1.  Coaches should check rosters and cards for accuracy.  Travel committee meeting Sunday 7:00 pm, location TBA.

 

Committee Reports – Danvers Invitational

 

No report as DIT meeting just held prior to BOD meeting.

 

Intramural Tournament Committee (ITC)

 

8 Intramural teams formed for the DIT.  ITC registration forms will be posted on the web.

 

Scholarship Committee

 

Scholarship applications that have been received will be sent out to committee members by Friday.

 

New Business

 

MYSA has instituted a $4 fee for CORI checks.

At the  CPR and first aid course provided on April 11, 18 people from baseball participated but none from soccer.  The possibility of placing a defribulator at Gates field was discussed.
