THE SPRING SEASON IS STARTING!

Free U07 Soccer Clinics with MPS

for EIGHT SATURDAYS

Sponsored by DYS

AT THE STADIUM FOOTBALL FIELD BEHIND THE HIGH SCHOOL!

U07 players are placed on teams and have coaches with scheduled games on Sundays.  As we have for the past several seasons, we have once again extended the Saturday morning U06 program to all U07 players and coaches.  Children with birthdates between 8/1/01 and 7/31/02 are eligible to participate.  Coaches can use these sessions as their practice and players who are looking for more soccer can get it at these clinics.  The sessions will run through Saturday, June 13th, with no session on Saturday, May 23rd (Memorial Day Weekend).

Please remember to equip your child with shinguards (mandatory), cleats (optional, but recommended) and either a DYS reversible jersey, or a white or royal T-shirt.  A size 3 ball and a water bottle are also required.  DYS uniforms are available at Neatco at 474 Lowell St. in Peabody.

Please remove any jewelry, watches, rings, bracelets and earrings before coming to the field.  Cancellations and other time-sensitive announcements may be accessed via the DYS hotline (978-762-6012) or the website (www.danversyouthsoccer.org).

We also need a volunteer to pick up the equipment after the session.  Pickup is pretty simple, usually the kids pickup the cones.  All you have to do is return them to the DYS garage at Plains Park.  If you would be interested in helping, please contact Sharon Pollock at spollock100@hotmail.com or (978) 750-0196.

DYS is currently recruiting coaches for the fall 2009 season.  If you are interested in coaching, please contact Sharon Pollock at spollock100@hotmail.com.  Although not required, training courses for soccer coaches are available from Mass Youth Soccer.  DYS reimburses the entire course fee.  For more information, please visit the training and coaching tabs on our website.

Danvers Youth Soccer is a volunteer organization, run by parents just like you.  We need your help to continue our success.
