The DYS Fundamentals program is all about having fun while learning the
game of soccer with each player getting the maximum amount of touches
on the ball for the duration of the session.
The program is 45 minute to 1 hour long sessions with children participating in fun games,
incorporating the “fundamentals” of soccer, followed by small sided scrimmages.
Many water breaks are provided!

Season: Fall and Spring
Sessions: U5, 1 x week on Saturdays / U6 2 x a week, Saturday & 1 week day session
Times: Saturday Mornings – between the hours of 8 – 10 am / Weekday Sessionbetween 4 – 5 pm

Length of Season: Fall 8 Weeks / Spring 8 to 9 weeks
The sessions are guidedby 2 professional coaches with the help of parent coach volunteers.
Players should bring/wear:
Water bottle w/name on it
Size 3 ball w/name on it
Be dressed in appropriate clothes to play the game of soccer including, shin guards, soccer socks over shin guards, and soccer cleats. O.K to wear soccer socks with shin guards in them. These time savers are sold for this age group at Sporting Goods stores and mass retailers like Target & Wal-Mart.
Cancellations:In case of inclement weather families may go to the DYS website and check the “Field Status” box on the front right hand side of the home page. If status is listed as “CLOSED” then all sessions on that field for the day are cancelled.
