COMMITTEE REPORTS:
Uniforms– Loren Rocker-no report
Pricing is $68 per uniform.
Loren asked the board how they feel about how we would like to proceed
phasing in the new uniforms to the league.
The sentiment of the board was that we do not want to be in the “uniform
business”, but rather we want to contract with a distributor with a physical
store (ie; REM) where the players can be fitted and make their purchase.
All the pieces are in place, except we need
more site coordinators.
Scholarships- Janet Gargan
The committee has determined that there are 9 worthy candidates this year
and have chosen to grant all these candidates scholarships using two different
award levels as determined by the candidates’ qualifications. In order to do so, the committee is asking
the board for an additional $50 over the $4,000 that had been budgeted for
scholarships.
Motion 1
Jeff Chambers made a motion to approve an additional $50 in the
scholarship budget to fund 9 scholarships (4 @ $700 and 5 @ $250); Tom Conway
seconded; the motion passed with 9 in favor, 2 opposed and 1 abstention.
