COMMITTEE REPORTS:

Danvers InvitationalTom Conway

Tom congratulated the committee on a well run tournament.  He read a letter that he received from a coach who has coached in the tournament for many years.  In the letter, the coach applauded the sportsmanship of the U12 Girls Pride coached by Brian Harrison and Tom McNulty.  The coach went so far to say that he thought that the Pride should receive a team sportsmanship award if such an award exists.  Tom Conway concurred with the coach and presented a Team Sportsmanship Award plaque to Brian along with a framed print of the coach’s email.  Congratulations to Brian, Tom and the Pride!

DSSSF-Jeff Chambers

Jeff asked the board whether or not the format and location of the Festival should be kept the same as last year.  The sentiment of the board was to keep things as is.

The formation of DIT teams went relatively smooth.  The turnout was good for the spring.  After the June 14th registrations and player ratings are completed, the committee can start forming tournament teams for the fall.
