The Intramural Committee held its first meeting.  Committee decided to revisit the discussion of obtaining new uniforms for the U10 level in the fall. There will be no changes for U10 teams for the spring.  The committee voted to recommend providing shirts for coaches.  The registration form will be changed to alleviate confusion with tournaments; each tournament will be listed separately.

VP Operations Report Frank Missett

The committee met with Jack Schmigdall and received new quotes for top DYS priorities.  The first estimate is for installing new sod in the goal mouths at Gates.  The sod installation on field #1 would commence on March 15th (sod from New Jersey) with a cost of $4,990.   Once field #1 is playable, sod would be installed on field #2 at a cost of $2.000 bringing the field improvement costs at Gates to approximately $7,000.  Both fields will be ready for the Memorial Day Tournament.  The second estimates were for improving Smith fields.  The cost to fill holes and re-seed the fields in the back is $5,000.  The cost for only top-dressing Smith is between $500 and $1,300 for different levels of top dressing.  Thirdly, regarding the YMCA field, DYS can deal directly with the YMCA as this is not a town field.  One contractor’s quote is $2,745 to improve the YMCA field.
